The emergence of COVID-19 and its disruptive effect on all parts of the manufacturing supply chain, has demonstrated in unprecedented ways the need for rapid and innovative solutions.

Many manufacturers around the world have been meeting the call for increased demand for items such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by transforming their production lines to produce new products often in unrelated areas. This, however, has not been without challenges.

The Manufacturing Futures Research Institute at Swinburne University of Technology brings together world leading expertise in advanced materials, industrial automation and robotics, advanced manufacturing, design and data science to increase the agility and productivity of Australia’s manufacturing base.

In partnership with SEMMA, the Institute will explore in this webinar how you can adapt your manufacturing organisation to meet the needs of fast changing consumer demand in challenging circumstances. It will also feature a pitch session featuring our researchers, where you can learn about our innovative projects and get involved. The webinar will cover:

· Innovative manufacturing practices in response to COVID-19

· Lessons learnt from COVID-19

· Challenges and opportunities for new manufacturing in Australia in the post-COVID19 era

· Swinburne’s R&D capabilities to support manufacturing transformation

This webinar is aimed at managers and technical leaders of manufacturing organisations, automation, logistics, IT; academic researchers; government agencies; industrial associations. Don’t miss out!
