Building Supply Chain Capabilities in the Digital Economy

In a world where customer requirements are rapidly changing, and customisation is becoming more prevalent, supply chains become complex and globally dispersed. In such disruptive and multi-layer eco-systems, manufacturing remains the critical link to ensure a balance between supply and demand in the value chain. Experience shows that many manufacturing firms tend to rely heavily on their internal capabilities and resources to create and sustain competitive advantage. Such resources, particularly in small to medium enterprises (SMEs), are limited and not synchronised with their extended supply chain activities.

In this webinar, Dr Hadi Ghaderi, the Discipline Leader for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Swinburne University of Technology, will discuss how SME manufacturers can develop competitive advantage by capitalising on their existing supply chain relationships and develop supply chain wide capabilities enabled by Industry 4.0 digital technologies.
